The Saint Paul Art Crawl is firmly established as a cultural event in the Twin Cities. Beginning as a way for artists to share their work with the public by opening their studios, the Art Crawl has become much more than an open-house art exhibit in Lowertown. The Art Crawl now includes music, dance and other performances throughout St. Paul. In addition, an impressive variety of restaurants contribute to the art scene. The venues include artist buildings (cooperatives, warehouses with a large proportion of artist studios, and various other artist groups), as well as galleries, nonprofits, and community businesses. The Saint Paul Art Crawl remains one of the largest and most loved open studio arts events in Minnesota.
